We received a recommendation from a friend to book New Power Soul after she saw them perform at 2 other weddings.  Our guests were blown away by their talent and had so much fun dancing the entire night.  I truly think a band can make or break a wedding reception and they nailed it.  They are 100% worth the investment! Amazing!!! We reached out to New Power soul after seeing them perform at Just Jake’s and I’m so happy we did! They completely made our wedding. The dance floor was never empty, I even had people from out of town asking if they would travel because they wanted to see them again. Jack and Frank were so helpful and gave us advice and took the time to go over our song selection in great detail. They gave us suggestions and recommendations to ensure the flow of the wedding went smoothly. The entire band was absolutely amazing. Jenny absolutely rocked it . We love Bruce Springsteen and they even let my husband sing with them too.. we have had so many guests reach out to us saying it was the best wedding ever and I know it’s because of new power soul.

We reached out to NPS after seeing them at The Columns (Avon, NJ) and at another friend’s wedding who had an extremely positive experience with them! We are so glad we ended up hiring them for our wedding at the Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club! Leading up to our big day, Frank and Jack were so thorough in ensuring they had all of the details of our wedding correct and helped us come up with a perfect reception timeline based on the flow of our speeches, bridal party size, etc. Frank spent almost two hours on the phone with us going over our song list and made some great suggestions. Ultimately, they played everything we wanted to hear and did an exceptional job at “reading the room”. Our guests, old and young, cannot stop talking about how much our band killed it. Absolutely everyone was on the dance floor. Jenny’s voice is unlike anything you’ll hear - our first dance song was to “If I Ain’t Got You” and I thought I was listening to Alicia Keys live! I should also mention that they are willing to learn songs that might not be on their list! Do yourself a favor and hire NPS! We cannot wait to continue seeing them perform throughout New Jersey whenever we have the chance and we hope to see our friends hire them for their weddings after seeing them at ours!

We were THRILLED when we learned that New Power Soul was available to play at our wedding. We have been to events where they have performed before and they have always been amazing, so we really could not have imagined anyone else playing on our special day. From the phone calls with Frank going over every single detail, to the extensive song list they offer, New Power Soul was very thorough and accommodating. When Charlie and I got engaged we knew immediately we needed New Power Soul to play at the wedding. We frequently saw them play at The Columns over the years and always had the best time. They absolutely were amazing to work with and made our wedding the best. People could not stop raving about how great the band was and how they haven't danced so much at a wedding before. If you're looking for a band to get all age groups up and dancing this is the band for you! Even after our wedding we continue to follow them around and get to hear them play all summer.

If you're reading this, stop right here and just book New Power Soul. They're fun, worked with us to have an amazing set list, and really know how to work a crowd. Our guests didn't get off the dance floor, even while food was being served. And even when dinner was served and the band took a short break to eat, tables literally broke out in song from their seats to sing along with the music they had set up. They're the ultimate crowd pleasers and are as professional as they come. Several people came up to us and said they were the best cover band they've ever heard and were blown at their level of talent. 12/10 would recommend. You and your guests won't be disappointed.

I first saw New Power Soul perform at a wedding in 2013. I was so blown away that I actually saved their card despite not even being engaged. My husband is a musician, so when we began planning our wedding in 2018, I suggested he look them up and see if he'd like them for our wedding. He went and saw them perform live at The Columns in Avon, NJ and came home totally sold. Not only is this group incredibly talented, but they're awesome to work with - kind, communicative, and professional. My husband was even able to work with them and surprise me by getting on stage with the band for a song. It's been nearly a year since our wedding and we still have guests telling us how New Power Soul was the best live band they'd ever heard at a wedding. 10/10 would recommend these guys to anyone looking to add next level energy and awesome live music to their event. To put it simply...there is NO ONE better! We saw them at a friends wedding and knew we had one less decision to make when it came to planning ours. Their catalog of songs is exhaustive and they even added more before we were done planning! Beyond the music (which speaks for itself) the staff was incredibly helpful. New Power Soul was an absolute pleasure to work with, from start to finish. We first saw them play down the Jersey Shore in the summer of 2018. We introduced ourselves and collected some information from them that night, and then reached out a few weeks later when we began to search for our wedding band. They were extremely responsive and very easy to work with from the outset. We found their pricing to be extremely reasonable, and were quickly able to send in a deposit and get a contract signed. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we filled out an information sheet providing the specific details of our ceremony and reception. We had multiple phone calls with Frank, who was incredibly kind, receptive, and thorough, to discuss the run of show for the night and talk about the specific songs that we wanted to have played. Going into the evening, we felt extremely comfortable with New Power Soul and the amount of preparation that they had done to ensure it would be a fun night for us. And on the wedding night itself, they certainly didn't disappoint. From the outset, NPS brought a ton of energy to our reception and were vital in making it a night we won't soon forget. They played an outstanding and entertaining mix of songs, from oldies and classic rock to early 2000s hits and some current top 40. We got rave reviews about the band from everyone who attended, no matter what age. My cousin enjoyed the band so much that he reached out to NPS the next day to book them for his wedding. We could not have been any happier with NPS for our wedding night. They were such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, and were absolutely vital in making our wedding the best night of our lives. New Power Soul exceeded my expectations and trust me, my expectations were HIGH. I found New Power Soul on a night out at The Columns in Avon and immediately knew that I wanted them for my wedding. What I noticed that night was that adults in their mid 20’s up through adults in their late 60’s were dancing and enjoying their music-- just what you need for a wedding. I started following the band to Jenks, Columns and even Stevie G’s to listen for my favorites. Jack and Frank made the process stress-free and honestly, enjoyable. Frank especially helped us to make our reception run the way that we envisioned and guided us on how to make the best use of our time. I am grateful for that because it turned out perfect. The song list that they offer is extremely extensive, so there is something for everyone. The band prides themselves on reading the room, and reading the room they did. Our guests jammed the entire night. One highlight is that the band also learns your first song if they do not already have it on their list and Jenny and the band knocked it out of the park. Some of our guests had to do a double take because they thought it was a CD of Lady Gaga playing, not the band. Most memorable, our dance floor was packed from the moment speeches ended until the last song, “I don’t want to go home.” I even got up and sang with the band. SO MUCH FUN! Our guests really cannot get over it, they have said that this is the BEST wedding band that they have experienced. If you are looking to have a packed dance floor and the absolute best time singing and dancing alongside your guests, look no further. One of my Mom’s biggest concerns was volume (for our older guests) and they even bring their own sound tech to manage the volume so it is at an appropriate level. New Power Soul is very professional, extremely talented, and most importantly, fun. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for helping to create some of the most special memories of our wedding day. Best wedding band ever! For the last 20 years, I have seen New Power Soul perform at many local bars. Once it came time to plan my wedding, I knew NPS had to play my wedding venue. On a wedding planning checklist with dozens of tasks and priorities, booking New Power Soul was #2 for us - second only to picking our venue. Honestly, I think we would've even considered an alternate date if they weren't available! My husband and I had seen them play at different venues down the shore and in Montclair, so we knew that we were going to get an incredible performance, but what really blew us away was how involved, committed, and professional they were during the planning process. I know these words show up in just about every review of every wedding band on The Knot and other sites, but when it's all over and you have time to reflect on your vendors, you'll know which ones were the real deal. That's New Power Soul. Emails were answered immediately, questions and concerns were addressed, and I think I probably spent more time on the phone with Frank than I did with my MOH during the last few weeks before the wedding. These guys are amazing - booking them will be one of the best decisions you make for your big day!

Yes, yes, yes, you NEED THIS BAND! They rocked our wedding! We have gotten so many compliments on them and it has been less than 48 hours! The dance floor was full the entire time and they exceeded our expectations. They have an incredibly broad and versatile set list and can play anything. If they don’t have it, and you give them rehearsal time, they will learn it. They read the crowd and adjust on the fly to make sure the guests are happy and partying the entire wedding. We recommend them 120% - you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Your wedding band search stops here! This band was AMAZING!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars. Our guests could NOT stop talking about how amazing they were. They really took the whole reception to another level of fun. Our guests were always on the dance floor. At one point, while singing Queen, the lead singer Frank ran up to the balcony of our venue and sang out to the crowd. It was incredible! Frank and Jack were so easy to work with, and they have a huge song selection to choose from. If there isn’t a song on their list, they will gladly learn it for you. The day before our wedding I realized we would need a microphone for the outside ceremony and they supplied it with no problem, and without practice synced up the processional music I requested perfectly. If you want to check them out, they play down at the shore often in the summer and at Just Jake’s in Montclair year-round. They were worth every penny!

I can not say enough good things about the band. To begin, Jack and Frank are the easiest people to work with. Jack was super responsive with his emails and his responses to all the questions I had leading up to the wedding. Frank offered such great tips and advice for the reception. They each took their time to answer all my questions and made sure that everything was exactly the way my husband and I wanted it. Now onto the band! I am a firm believer that if you have good music and good food, you have a great wedding! The band is a 9 piece instrumental with 2 lead singers, a female and male vocal. Every member of the band has their own talent and when put together, they are absolutely magical. So many people from my wedding complimented the band and felt they were absolutely fantastic. The dance floor was packed the entire time!!
Frank and New Power Soul were amazing. Our wedding date was October 26th, 2013 and our reception was at Clarks Landing in Point Pleasant. The dance floor, no joke, was packed the entire wedding. Our guests were raving! At times, we all had to stop and look to see if they were actually singing the songs!! They sounded so close to the originals, it was like listening to a CD. Frank, the band leader, was easy to work with and the entire band is extremely talented. One guest told my mother-in-law if she was a bride she would base her entire wedding date on the band's availability! So true they honestly helped to make our wedding the best day of our lives. Mark and I also had taken over a month's worth of dance lessons to prepare for our first choreographed dance. We are not professionals by any means and really needed the band to be on cue with our song in order to execute our dance correctly. They were on cue with the music we had practiced to perfectly. They helped create memories that I know Mark and I will cherish for a lifetime. Love this band and can not wait to go see them again to relive the memories!!!
